Welcome to Bowles Construction & Excavating

Located in Rushville, Indiana since 1992. Over the years, we’ve grown into a true one stop shop for Rush and surrounding counties and we are proud of that. We do a little bit of everything, Experience our wide range of services including heavy equipment dirt/stone work, site prep, concrete work, handyman tasks, sewer work, septic system installations, dump trucking,  roll off dumpsters (Available for rent) or any other projects that come our way, we try to cover as much as we can so our community has a reliable go-to when things need to be done. Our goal is simple: impact the community in the best way possibly while providing quality work.

Discover Our Story

When Chad was in his early teenage years, he’d often offer to help those in need of a little home maintenance. He would offer to clean out gutters, rake leaves, change window screens, and fix door hinges, among other things. This gave him the idea to someday start his own business. Once in high school, he started working for a few other local contractors and after a few years decided that he could do a quality job at a more professional level.

For more than three decades, Bowles Construction and Excavating has learned, adapted, and overcame obstacles. Chad started growing his home maintenance odd jobs to building room additions, changing out commercial doors and windows, and then building complete custom homes. In 2008, when the world was facing one of the worst financial years in recent history, Bowles Construction was having one of our best years on record! We now own 11 dump trucks, 2 roll-off dumpster trucks, 24 roll-off dumpsters (and counting), as well as a couple of semi tractors, low-boy trailer, and several pieces of excavation equipment!

Chad’s two sons, Spencer and Nicholas, have been operating equipment

since they were almost old enough to walk and they’re looking forward

to continuing the business their dad started…even though Dad says

there’s still several years of him being the top dog!

Chad and the boys enjoy getting to face new projects head on and when

there’s a challenge to overcome, they truly enjoy the aspect of problem

solving. We aren’t afraid to tackle anything, so if that “anything” involves

getting your Christmas tree flocked, putting new parts on your side by side,

building your 90 x 180 building pad, or painting your laundry room please call us! The worst thing we can say is no and odds of that happening aren’t great!
